Ukrainian high jumpers took the entire podium at the Diamond League in Paris

Ukrainian athletes performed fantastically in the high jump sector at the Diamond League in Paris. Immediately, three representatives of Ukraine climbed the podium.

Ukraine’s Yaroslava Mahuchikh, the silver medallist at the 2019 world championships and bronze medal winner at the 2020 Olympics, won the high jump with a season-best 2.01m.

Mahuchikh won on her second attempt, improving on her previous season-leading 2.0m at the Eugene Diamond League meet.

She tried and failed three times at 2.05m, a centimeter above her career-best.

Mahuchikh topped an all-Ukraine podium in the event ahead of Iryna Gerashchenko (1.98m) and Yuliya Levchenko (1.95m).

It should be noted that for the first time in history, four Ukrainian high jumpers competed at the Diamond League stage. She was the fourth Ukrainian Kateryna Tabashnik – she finished the competition in 6th position. The Ukrainian took the height of 1.95 m on the second attempt – this is her best result of the season.
