Ukrainian Ihor Halushka won gold and silver medal at the Invictus Games and unfurled Save Mariupol flag on a pedestal

Participating in the indoor rowing, Ihor Halushka won the Men’s IR3 event after clocking up 1,121 meters in four minutes. He also won a silver medal in the 1-minute indoor rowing. The rower lofted a Ukrainian flag with “Save Mariupol” written on it. “My brothers-in-arms fight in Mariupol with little food and ammunition. Thanks to their courage and strength, I’m able to fight and win here!” said Ihor Halushka.
Ukraine won four medals on the fifth day of the Invictus Games. Viktor Lehkodukh won a silver medal in 4-minute indoor rowing. He had previously won gold in the shot put. Also, Ihor Bezkorovainyi won bronze in the 1-minute indoor rowing.
In total, the Ukrainian national team has 16 medals at the Invictus Games: five gold, five silver, and six bronze.
