Ukrainian-language audio guide launched in Berlin’s Charlottenburg Palace

The Ukrainian First Lady, Olena Zelenska, and the German First Lady, Elke Büdenbender, launched an audio guide in Ukrainian at the Charlottenburg Palace Museum in Berlin — one of the city’s most notable monuments and symbols.

The audio guide was officially launched in Berlin. Olena Zelenska joined the event via a video link from Ukraine. The Ukrainian First Lady is convinced that the Russian invasion has increased the importance of the project of launching Ukrainian audio guides because it is now about protecting the Ukrainian language and everything Ukrainian from the invaders. “No matter how hard he tries, an attacker cannot destroy language,” she said.

According to Olena Zelenska, the project is also important for Ukrainian citizens temporarily displaced by the war in other countries, particularly Germany.
