Ukrainian mine sniffing dog Patron received awards from two U.S. veteran organizations

Ukrainian mine sniffing dog Patron from Chernihiv received commemorative awards from two veteran organizations of the United States — Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and Bomb Techs Without Borders.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the acting, guard, and reserve forces. Created in 1936, it unites about 2 million people.
Bomb Techs Without Borders was founded in late 2018 by a group of US Army veterans. One of the areas of the organization’s work is to raise awareness about mines and other explosive objects through outreach work in various parts of the world, from North America to Europe. Now, the organization cooperates with the Ukrainian emergency services.
