Ukrainian National Police establish eight special units to investigate sexual crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine

To record and identify sexual offenses perpetrated by Russian forces in Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine have established eight special police squads in the de-occupied territories of eight regions.

During the “#U4J: Respect. Support. Justice” conference, acting NPU head Ivan Vyhivskyi said: “In order to detect and record Russian sexual crimes in the de-occupied territories of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions, we created eight specialized mobile police groups, which have been engaged in interviewing victims.”
