Ukrainian organization Truth Hounds receives Sakharov Freedom Prize

Ukrainian human rights organization Truth Hounds received the 2023 Sakharov Freedom Prize. The award was given to the organization for its work in documenting war crimes and potential crimes against humanity.

“The Sakharov Prize is a sign of our respect for both the organization itself and the entire Ukrainian people, who are fighting against unprovoked Russian aggression and brutal attack,” stated the Norwegian Helsinki Committee (NHC), which launched the award.

Truth Hounds are the first Ukrainian laureates of the Sakharov Freedom Award.
