“Ukrainian people can count on the UK’s continued solidarity and support. We will always stand with Ukraine”

Britain’s incoming Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, pledged to continue to support Ukraine in his first conversation with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“A privilege to speak to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Both he and the Ukrainian people can count on the UK’s continued solidarity and support. We will always stand with Ukraine,” Rishi Sunak said about the conversation.

“We agreed to write a new chapter in Ukrainian-British relations, but the story is the same — full support in the face of Russian aggression. I appreciate the PM’s first call to Ukraine. And I’m always grateful for the support of the British people,” the Ukrainian president noted.
