Ukrainian railway brigade has been on duty for 3 weeks without a break since the war began, and has already evacuated 15,000 people

The Ukrainian national railway has become the hero of the war evacuating millions of people and delivering humanitarian aid to the toughest spots of Ukraine.

21 members of the railway brigade from the photo were working their shift when the war started. Until now they haven’t seen their loved ones a single time and can’t protect them at home. They sleep for around 4 hours per day at best, get food from volunteers on the train route stations.

They work in trains filled with frightened people, children, pets. In addition to ordinary duties, these train hosts are being psychologists for survived Ukrainians and provide first premedical aid.

The number of people this exact brigade has saved is 15,000, and it raises every day.
