Ukrainian students got 3rd place at European Universities Games, winning 62 medals

Ukrainian students took third place in the medal standings at the 2022 European Universities Games. Ukraine took second place for the total number of medals and third place in terms of the number of “golden” awards, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet said.

A total of 230 students from 41 universities in the country represented Ukraine in 16 sports. According to the results of the competition, the Ukrainian team won 62 medals: 19 gold, 25 silver, and 18 bronze. The most medals — 16 — the Ukrainian team won in karate, including five gold ones.
