Ukrainian students win 6 medals at Universiade 2023

Ukrainian students won 6 medals at the Lake Placid 2023 Winter World University Games, which took place on Jan. 11–22 in the USA.

“Six medals, one of which was gold, one silver and four bronze; we also have fourth, fifth and sixth places — this is a great result!” Ukraine’s Minister of Education Serhiy Shkarlet said.

Ukrainian athletes competed in 8 out of 12 sports. Sixty students from 22 universities of the country performed in the Ukrainian team.
