Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk wins the WTA title and dedicates it to Ukraine

Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk her first WTA title with a victory over Russian Varvara Gracheva.

“I want to dedicate this title to Ukraine and all the people who are fighting and dying right now,” stated Ukrainian at the victory ceremony.

Marta Kostyuk has previously been outspoken about the tennis world’s response to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, saying anti-war platitudes weren’t enough.
