On April 18, 2022, in Schwerin (Germany), the International Headquarters for Assistance to Ukrainians, the NGO “Institute of Culture of Ukraine” (ICU) with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, held an action “Ukrainian Borsch of Unity.”
As part of the event, Yevhen Klopotenko, renowned chef and head of the Institute of Culture of Ukraine, and Maryna Sobotyuk, researcher of Ukrainian cultural traditions, coordinator of the Ukrainian Unity Borscht project, presented borscht, which is proposed to become a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. “We have already visited Warsaw. It was important for us to show our identical dishes. The goal is simple — to unite Ukrainians and people of the world to buy food kits for Ukrainians who need it,” said Maryna Sobotyuk.
