Ukrainians can defeat Russia on the battlefield
“Ukrainians are demonstrating on the frontline that, with the necessary resources, they can defeat Russia on the battlefield,” stated former NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen during a meeting with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak.
He noted that when the war is over, there must be insurance that Russia can never invade Ukraine again.
On September 13, 2022, Rasmussen and Yermak also presented recommendations on security guarantees for Ukraine, developed pursuant to the instructions of the Ukrainian President. They provide for the creation of the Kyiv Security Treaty, which should unite Ukraine and a group of guarantor states.
