“Ukrainians should be given everything they need to finish this war, and we should begin the process of admitting Ukraine to NATO”

In a column for The Washington Post, Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could have been prevented if Western countries had been brave enough to bring Ukraine into NATO.

“And yet the reality was that NATO had done nothing to protect Ukraine and nothing to advance the cause of Ukrainian membership,” wrote the Former British Prime Minister.

“Today, Ukrainians are deploying a dizzying variety of equipment from NATO countries, with the utmost skill and bravery. There is absolutely nothing that NATO could teach Ukrainians about fighting a war — in fact, there is a lot that they could teach us,” added Johnson.
