Ukroboronprom State Concern delivers the first batch of 122-mm artillery shells, produced under domestic technology at foreign facilities, to the Ukrainian army

The Ukroboronprom State Concern, in cooperation with a NATO country, has launched production of 122-mm artillery shells abroad and has already managed to ship the first batch of the specified ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“This is the third type of ammunition after a 120-mm mortar mine and a 125-mm tank projectile, which are manufactured according to Ukrainian technology and with the involvement of Ukrainian highly specialized specialists at foreign facilities,” the concern’s press service said on March 22, 2023.

It is specified that the 122-mm projectile is used by Ukrainian artillery when working with D-30 trailed howitzers (maximum range of destruction — 15,400 m) and self-propelled guns 2S1 Gvozdika (maximum range of destruction — 15,200 m).
