United by music: preparation for the Eurovision Song Contest brought together Ukrainians and Britons
One of the best instances of how music can bring people together is the Eurovision Song Contest. A digital campaign of solidarity between Ukrainians and Britons on Instagram is ongoing as part of the song contest, with the participation of well-known Ukrainian and British figures of culture, commerce, and sports. You can participate in the campaign on Instagram Ukraine.ua, which is being developed in collaboration with the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Brand Ukraine.
Eurovision is “one of the best examples of how music can unite us all, reminding us that, despite speaking different languages and coming from different places, we all share the same passion and joy for this event… We know that people throughout Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and other participating countries from around the world will watch the Eurovision Song Contest in order to gain unforgettable experiences and impressions,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Culture and Information Policy, and Lucy Frazer, Britain`s Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.
