US to provide Ukraine with new $450 million military package, allocating additional $10 million for energy system repairs

The United States announced a new package of security assistance for Ukraine valued at $450m, including ammunition for howitzers and the HIMARS rocket system, Javelin missiles and air surveillance radars, U.S. Department of State reports.
The United States will also provide Ukraine with an extra $10 million in emergency assistance to maintain Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

“Russia alone could end its war today. Until it does so, we will stand united with Ukraine for as long as it takes to strengthen its military on the battlefield so that they will be in the strongest possible position at any future negotiating table,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in the statement.
