Vilnius will take part in Mariupol’s reconstruction after de-occupation

The mayors of Mariupol and Vilnius, Vadym Boychenko and Remigijus Šimašius, signed a Declaration of Solidarity, which marked the beginning of cooperation to rebuild Ukrainian Mariupol after the de-occupation. The Mariupol City Council announced this on Telegram.
“Mariupol will be liberated, so we are already working on a plan for its revival. We are gathering the best expertise and experience. In particular, we want to learn from Vilnius how to decommunize urban architecture. We will build a modern city without the phantoms of the Soviet era. I am grateful to the mayor of Vilnius and all Lithuanian people who are actively supporting our country and city. I am confident that together we can bring Ukrainian Mariupol back to life,” Boychenko stated.
