Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the UN Secretary-General and the President of Turkey in Lviv, discussed grain deal and situation on Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant

The trilateral meeting of the President of Ukraine, the President of Turkey, and the UN Secretary-General took place in Lviv.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy held private meetings with both leaders. With the UN Secretary-General António Guterres he discussed the issue of the release of Ukrainian military personnel and medics from Russian captivity, grain exports, Russia’s nuclear blackmail at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and forced deportation of Ukrainians.

The same topics Zelenskyy discussed with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“The visit of the President of Turkey to Ukraine is a powerful message of support from such a powerful country. During the meeting in Lviv, we discussed with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the possibility of improving the grain initiative, the situation around the Zaporizhzhia NPP and the nuclear blackmail of the occupiers, Russia’s large-scale theft of grain in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Issues of defense cooperation were also touched upon,” Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
