The operation on liberating Kherson, carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, is reminiscent of numerous battles that became crucial moments in wars. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy posted about it on Telegram:

“The liberating operation of our Defense Forces in Kherson is an analogy for Ukraine of many previous battles that became turning points in wars. They represented such shifts, after which people knew who would win — even though they still had to fight for it. This is precisely how we feel right now. When Kherson is free.”
