Ten graduates of school No.134 in Kharkiv danced the waltz near the ruins of their school. On February 27, 2022, Russian special forces stormed the school building. There was a battle to neutralize the invaders and save the lives of Kharkiv residents: Ukrainian defenders neutralized a platoon of about 30 Russians in the building.
A third of the students came to celebrate graduation on June 5, 2022; other students are outside Kharkiv, said graduate Hlib Opashnian.
“It’s horrible for me, especially when I saw the school being destroyed. I watched it all day. My house is 500 meters from the school. I heard gunfire and went to the second floor of my house with my father. I was scared. A fragment flew over my house and hit the neighbors’ house. The fact that the invaders died here is good news for me. And today, I am graduating, and I am happy I am graduating from school,” Hlib Opashnian said.
