“We are determined to continue making the Kremlin pay”

EU member countries have agreed on another round of sanctions against Russia over its aggression against Ukraine, the Czech EU presidency said on Wednesday.
“We have just reached a political agreement on new sanctions against Russia — a strong EU response to Putin’s illegal annexation of Ukrainian territories,” Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the EU Edita Hrda wrote on Twitter.
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen grreted the decision: “I welcome the Member States’ agreement today on the 8th sanctions package. We have moved quickly and decisively. We will never accept Putin’s sham referenda nor any kind of annexation in Ukraine. We are determined to continue making the Kremlin pay.”
