“We are only safe today thanks to Ukraine”

In an interview with Financial Times, President of Moldova Maia Sandu stated that Ukraine has ensured that Moldova is now in a safe place. “I don’t believe Russians would have stopped at the border. We are only safe today thanks to Ukraine,” added Sandu.
Moldovan President described Russia’s aggression against Ukraine as an attempt to remake the Soviet Union. “They want to bring back the old days. And we don’t want this,” said Maia Sandu.
