“We have blood on our hands. Because we are financing the war”

Famous actor Arnold Schwarzenegger criticized Europe for exporting fuel and trading with Russia at the Austrian World Summit 22.
“We are all horrified by the images that we see in the news every night. But let’s be honest with ourselves here. 1300 missiles that Russia launched at the Ukraine cities in the first two months of the war cost 7.7 billion euros. That’s a lot. But at the same time, Europe sent to Russia 44 billion euros for fuel,” the actor said.
“Of course, Russians are upset that they are losing all the soldiers, and they are losing so much of the equipment, and the tanks, and the planes. But they say: “Hey, at least we do not have to pay for this war. The Europeans are sending us the money. They are paying for the war,” Schwarzenegger said.
He stressed: “We have blood on our hands because we are financing the war. We have to stop lying to ourselves. Right now we have all the technology we need to leave fossil fuels in the past. We owe it to the Ukrainian children growing up in bomb shelters. We owe it to ourselves.”
