Prime Minister Scott Morrison says Australia will send several Australian-made Bushmaster vehicles over to Ukraine and other military and humanitarian aid after a public plea from Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison said on March 31, 2022, that Ukraine would receive military and humanitarian aid after President Zelensky addressed the Australian parliament with a request for military assistance.
“We are very, very much open to the request and I think of the inspiration that President Zelenskyy has provided to his people and the world — he has brought Europe together in a way that was not possible before the war — we want to do whatever we can to help bring this war to an end,” said Australian Defence Minister Peter Dutton on April 1, 2022.
