“Whoever invests in the reconstruction of Ukraine invests in a future EU member”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called for investment in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine during a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in Berlin.

“We support Ukraine in war and in reconstruction. You can rely on us, Denys Shmyhal,” said Olaf Scholz on Twitter. “Whoever invests in the reconstruction of Ukraine invests in a future EU member. 2,000 German companies are already active there and appreciate the motivated specialists in particular. It is an enormous potential, even if the path to the EU still requires reforms.”
