World Bank allocates additional $500 million to Ukraine
The World Bank has distributed another $500 million to Ukraine, Reuters reports on October 25, 2022. The funds will be used to meet urgent public spending needs created by Russia’s full-scale invasion.
“The Russian invasion continues to cause massive destruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure — including water, sanitation, and electricity networks — just as winter is approaching, further endangering Ukrainian people,” stated the World Bank Group President David Malpass.
